The Fager Andrea Soft Rubber Loose Ring Bit is a thoughtfully crafted bit designed for sensitive horses to encourage a more consistent contact, helping your horse confidently seek the bit. Its gentle feel promotes softness in the hand, making every signal smoother and more refined.
This mouthpiece has a small tongue relief to be more gentle to the tongue. Combined with the gentle material, this bit is a more suitable option for horses with a sensitive tongue who can open their mouth, pull the reins, and move the tongue freely.
Material:
Crafted from premium TPU (Thermoplastic Polyurethane), this bit combines the softness of rubber with the strength and durability needed for everyday riding. TPU offers exceptional flexibility, durability, and horse-safe properties, making it ideal for sensitive-mouthed horses and those needing a steadier contact.
Why TPU?
* Gentle on the Mouth – Soft, rubber-like feel that encourages relaxation and trust.
* Highly Durable – Resists wear, cracking, and moisture for long-lasting use.
* Safe & Non-toxic – TPU is hygienic, easy to clean, and free from harmful chemicals.
The Fager Andrea Soft Rubber Loose Ring is ideal for horses that:
-
Are young or green- needing to learn how to trust the bit as it encourages acceptance and reduces tension.
-
Avoid or resist contact as the soft rubber encourages them to seek the bit, promoting a steadier connection.
-
Have a dry or reactive mouth- the material promotes softness and salivation, improving comfort and focus.
- Are being rehabbed or retrained through bit-related tension or behavioral issues.
Whether you’re developing a young horse or refining the connection with an experienced partner, the Andrea Soft Rubber Bit supports a softer contact, better communication, and total comfort – every ride, every time.

NOTE! The TPU material is more durable than most rubber bits, but it can still show marks from the teeth of horses that chew excessively on the bit. Therefore, the warranty or right of complaint does not apply if the horse damages the bit by biting it.
Please note: Soft rubber may lose its shape if left hanging for long periods or stored in a warm environment. For best care, keep the bit in a cool place. If reshaping is needed, it can easily be adjusted back into form.
