The Shires ARMA Anti-Chafe Dressage Girth with Elastic is designed to deliver exceptional comfort, protection, and performance for the horse during work. Constructed from durable waffle-textured material, it helps resist moisture build-up while reducing the risk of rubbing and galls.

Its breathable surface promotes airflow to assist in managing heat and sweat, while the soft, moisture-resistant fabric glides smoothly over the skin to minimise friction and prevent chafing. An anatomical contour shape ensures freedom of movement around the elbows and promotes even pressure distribution across the girth area.

Built for practicality as well as comfort, the girth is flexible, stretch-resistant, and easy to wipe clean, reinforced with strong non-stretch nylon webbing for long-lasting durability. Pressure-alleviating elastic inserts at both ends enhance fit and comfort, while stainless steel roller buckles and fittings provide secure, reliable performance ride after ride.

After Use:

Clean your girth after every use to keep it in top condition and ready for your next ride.  Detach from both sides of the saddle.  Brush away hair and debris and wipe the girth clean.  Leave to dry naturally.

Regularly check your girth for signs of wear & tear.

Fitting:

Once the saddle is in the correct position fasten the girth evenly on each side gradually until a flat hand can just about be slid between the girth and the lower belly.  Buckles should be level to ensure the girth is not twisted.
