Baileys Aqua-Aide - An advanced electrolyte supplement for all working horses
Any horse who sweats during training or competition
Working horses who don't "self-supplement" their diets from salt licks or who find salt added to feed unpalatable
Working or performance horses requiring additional support for healthy muscle function
When horses sweat they lose vital water and body salts (electrolytes) and prolonged sweating, whether during exercise, performance or travelling, can result in dehydration, decreased performance, fatigue, muscle cramping and other problems. Maintaining fluid and electrolyte balance is essential for optimum performance and research has shown that administering an electrolyte before, during and after work can delay the onset of fatigue dramatically.
Aqua-Aide contains key salts, including potassium chloride and magnesium, in addition to the commonly included sodium chloride, plus sufficient dextrose for optimum absorption. It is designed to be administered according to length and intensity of work done and can be fed ad hoc (whenever the horse sweats), on an ongoing basis or before, during and after competition days. Its highly palatable formulation can be administered in water - with or without the addition of a handful of chaff or soaked beet pulp - or wet (sloppy) feed.
It is designed to be administered according to length and intensity of work done and can be fed ad hoc (whenever the horse sweats), on an ongoing basis or before, during and after competition days. Those horses who would benefit especially from regular electrolyte consumption include those who sweat frequently and profusely, those prone to tying up and those working in particularly hot and humid conditions.
Dextrose, Sucrose, Sodium Chloride, Potassium Chloride, Magnesium Sulphate Heptahydrate, Calcium Citrate, Potassium Citrate, Natural Flavours (Apple), Permitted Preservatives (Citric Acid)
