Emma Bridgewater Lily Of The Valley 1/2 Pint Mug

In Victorian times, the lily of the valley was thought to symbolise a return to happiness. It’s easy to understand why: these tiny bell-shaped white flowers on slender stems – as captured on our Lily Of The Valley 1/2 Pint Mug – are the official flower of May and signal the return to summer and sun. Buy some lily of the valley when you can because the flowering season is short. Keep the bunch in a vase beside where you sit most often and enjoy the flower’s distinctive scent while taking tea in your newly favourite floral mug.

About Us

At Emma Bridgewater, we like to make things that make everyday life a little bit nicer.

Where it began...

It all began in 1984, when Emma was working in London soon after leaving university. One day, she was hunting for a birthday present for her Mum. She wanted to give her two cups and saucers that would say 'I love you. I miss you'. She went into a china shop and looked around, hoping to see some china that would capture the warm and welcoming spirit of her mother's North Oxford kitchen. But in those days, the Great British high street seemed to have only two offerings: dainty and formal or robust and decidedly unromantic
