The Gatehouse Junior 4 Kids Jockey Skull Black is kitemarked and conforms to PAS 015:2011 and VG01. This great fitting skull for children features a three-point harness.
All hats are supplied with a free, padded, storage bag.
The Junior Skull hat lining fabric is now treated with the AEGIS Microbe Shield. This is a permanently bonded, anti-microbial barrier that provides protection against odour, staining and the deterioration caused by bacteria, fungus and other micro-organisms.
The hat is approved under all competition rules including The Pony Club.
The PAS 015:2011 kitemarked safety standard label is located on the hat liner as you look directly into the hat.

Hats within each shell size may be re-configured by the manufacturer only to change the size through adding further padding. This is standard practice and therefore padding types and thicknesses may vary from one hat to another of the same marked circumference size.
Please note sizes 53, 54, 57, 58 have a new updated removable & washable liner.
Any riding hat that has suffered an impact should always be replaced, but even with normal use the effectiveness of the protective materials will deteriorate over time. While professionals riding a number of horses every day and in all conditions should look at replacing safety headwear every 1 to 2 years, the leisure rider could extend this to every 3 to 5 years with good care and depending on how often they ride – although they should make regular checks for signs of wear to the harness, lining and outer shell.
Store in the original or protective packaging in a clean, dry cool area out of direct sunlight. Avoid extreme temperatures such as those found in vehicles during hot weather.
Avoid exposure to solvents, cleaning agents, adhesives, paints, fly sprays etc., which can cause damage. For example, spraying your horse with fly repellent while wearing your riding hat, may affect the external finish.
