The sleek and smart Arika Elasticated Breastplate is a useful accessory in any tack room.

Made from soft and supple oiled leather with a soft leather pad at the wither, it's been designed with complete comfort and functionality in mind. Fully elasticated neck straps attach to the soft leather pad while detachable rein attachments clip on and off reins without needing to undo them.

This breastplate is so simple and designed to make life easier for busy riders.

Leather Care

LeMieux’s finest quality leathers are pre-oiled. Leather is a natural material which needs your care to stay at its best.
Cleaning and maintenance

Leaving your leather dirty, damp or drying it too quickly can cause stiffening and cracks.

After daily use, lightly wipe with lukewarm water and saddle soap. Air dry.

For a deep clean, take apart. Clean thoroughly, using lukewarm water and top-quality saddle soap. Air dry. Treat with a premium leather balm or oil, and buff leather and metalwork with a soft cloth.

Always store in a cool, clean and dry place.

Where It Started

Robert Lemieux became involved in the equestrian world as an event rider, competing at Olympic and World Championship level for Great Britain and later for Canada. He retired from professional riding after a serious injury but continued to compete up to Badminton 2004.

Robert and his wife Lisa started Horse Health in 2003, selling supplements from a van, and continued to grow the business until they launched the LeMieux brand in 2006 when they identified a need for quality lambskin saddle pads and set about making their own range. “We really wanted to make equipment that was innovative, well-made but above all, affordable.” This is the philosophy they still pursue today.
