LeMieux Mini Classic Fly Hood Lilac

The Mini LeMieux is intended to appeal to the under twelves with an eye for style.

Designed especially for 11.2hh to 13hh ponies, the Mini LeMieux Fly Hood is hand-made from two styles of close-knit handmade crochet yarn with comfortable high-density fabric ears that defend your pony from sharp sound and irritating flies.

LeMieux's premium quality fly hoods are made with protection and style in mind. Designed in an array of colours, a Classic Fly Hood is the ideal way to top off your colour-coordinated equestrian look.

The 100% recycled yarn face veil is crafted in handmade four-way stretch crochet and edged with luxurious double-twist braid. This makes it secure and close-fitting under the bridle. The veil is finished with sophisticated embroidered LeMieux branding.

The face veil is complemented with soft, comfortable elastane ear fabric, designed to protect your pony's ears from flies, dust and distractions.

Where It Started

Robert Lemieux became involved in the equestrian world as an event rider, competing at Olympic and World Championship level for Great Britain and later for Canada. He retired from professional riding after a serious injury but continued to compete up to Badminton 2004.

Robert and his wife Lisa started Horse Health in 2003, selling supplements from a van, and continued to grow the business until they launched the LeMieux brand in 2006 when they identified a need for quality lambskin saddle pads and set about making their own range. “We really wanted to make equipment that was innovative, well-made but above all, affordable.” This is the philosophy they still pursue today.
