Hay Bar
The Hay Bar system was originally devised to help a show hunter brood mare suffering from pneumonia. It encouraged her to eat from the floor and as a result helped drain down her airways. The mare recovered and we soon realised the HAY BAR system had numerous advantages.
- Aids digestion as the forage is taken more slowly.
- Saves waste, as the forage is far less likely to mix with the bedding.
- Mares, foals and youngstock benefit, as the HAY BAR is far safer than nets or racks.
- Quicker and easier to fill (even by a small child) and hence saves precious time.
The Hay Bar will prove to be extremely strong and should give you years of trouble free service if fitted and used correctly.

- It is approx 36″ high
- It takes approx 20“ of floor space
- The top edge takes approx 30“ of wall space
- It is designed to hold a complete small bale of hay in slices

- It is approx 27″ high
- It takes approx 13″ of floor space
- The top edge takes approx 28″ of wall space
- Designed to hold half a small bale of hay.
