The Game Fair 2023

Established in 1958, The Game Fair is one of the largest UK events which celebrates British field sports and country life.

The countdown is on!

Last year, over 120,000 people attended The Game Fair and there were more than 650 exhibitors from fashion, sports, food and entertainment. It’s no wonder country enthusiasts come back year on year.

As British country style has never been so popular, The Game Fair is set to have another well attended year with people travelling far and wide to the estate.

Mens

Attention, gentlemen!

The Game Fair at Ragley is just around the corner, and it’s time to embrace the perfect blend of style and functionality.

Whether you’re a seasoned attendee or a first-timer, dressing appropriately for this prestigious event is crucial.

In this blog post, we’ll provide you with some invaluable fashion tips to ensure you stand out from the crowd while exuding an air of refined elegance.

Let’s explore the world of men’s country fashion:

  • Embrace Traditional British Heritage: The Game Fair at Ragley is steeped in British heritage and country traditions. Channel that timeless essence into your attire by opting for classic pieces such as Alan Paine tweed blazers, Schoffel gilets and Barbour flat caps. Embrace earthy tones like olive green, navy blue, and rustic brown to effortlessly blend in with the charming countryside setting.
  • Layering for Practicality and Style: Given the unpredictable weather that often accompanies outdoor events, mastering the art of layering is key. Start with a well-fitted shirt as your base and layer it with a lightweight sweater or quarter zip. Top it off with a tailored jacket or blazer, ensuring it’s both weather-resistant and stylish. This versatile layering technique allows you to adapt to changing temperatures while maintaining a dapper appearance.
  • Classic Footwear Choices: When it comes to footwear, practicality and style should go hand in hand. Opt for sturdy yet stylish choices such as R.M.Williams leather boots or Ariat Wexford ankle boots. Not only will they provide adequate support and comfort for long days spent outdoors, but they will also complement your overall ensemble. If there is unexpected rain showers or muddy terrains then a pair of Le Chameau wellington boots are a must.
  • Optimal Comfort with Stylish Casualwear: While dressing formally for the Game Fair is traditional, incorporating casual elements into your ensemble is perfectly acceptable. Schoffel or Barbour chinos or well-fitted jeans paired with a crisp, tailored shirt can strike the right balance between style and comfort. Throw on a lightweight field jacket or a gilet for an extra layer of warmth and functionality

By embracing traditional British heritage, mastering the art of layering, and incorporating practical accessories, you’ll not only look the part but also feel comfortable throughout the event.

Remember, confidence is the key to pulling off any outfit, so wear your chosen attire with pride and enjoy this exceptional celebration of British countryside traditions.
